Spiderman has long been one of our favorite superhero characters from the Marvel stable. Even his cartoon series wasn't that bad, and kept us all amused in those long dark ages which were the 1970s. But this movie, come on, is it going to be a classic revisionary piece of eye candy like the first Batman movie, or is going to be a complete mishmash of utter suck?

Could be a giant of the genre. Hey, Marvel didn't fuck up with their recent X-men movie, did they? They have finally shaken off the curse which made all their cinematic ventures such diabolical nonsense. Spiderman will spin a web of delight that'll snare our admiration and join the ranks of rather worthy 'cape' movies like the first Batman film.

Step on that rotten bug. Have you seen some of the early stills from the film? That terrible nylon frigging spider costume. How hard looking is that? Where's the cool spider body armor? This is going to be terrible suck, our spider sense is tingling and telling us so. This movie will be to the superhero film genre what the Incredible Hulk was to the TV genre. Cheap green body paint, and rocks being tossed about made from Styrofoam.
