Star Wars kidnap victim had embraced the Dark Side

You bad, bad girl.

Canadian fan Michelle Elizabeth Lawrence claimed that chum James Gunter had kidnapped her following a cyber relationship that grew out of their mutual passion for Star Wars.

Not to mention many hours spent exchanging lovelorn missives in the Star Wars chatroom of a well known portal (not the Nest though - our users are far too balanced. Ribbet ribbet Ed).

But now the court in Nova Scotia has withdrawn the charge of unlawful confinement. Why?

Shortly before poor old Gunter was going to be frozen in block of carbonite for his alleged dark crimes, that wacky ol'Michelle was back on-line in the same Star Wars chatroom telling any would-be Jedi that would listen that she had simply made up the story to explain away a six week disappearance.

Fellow fans, rather disturbed at this admission, ratted her out to the rebel alliance and thus brought back a sense of balance to the universe, not to mention we suspect, an enormous sense of relief to one James G.

So let this be a lesson, space fans. Next time you receive a declaration of undying lurrrvvv from tracy@tatooine, treat it with a pinch of salt. After all, on the net, nobody knows you're an Ewok.
